ALBON EP. II: Close Your Eyes

CYE Cover

Close Your Eyes

It’s dark. The night air is brisk, but not in that it makes you feel cold. It’s brisk in the way that makes you feel alive. It wakes you up; your senses heightened.

You’ve just parked and you kill the engine, but you leave the radio to continue to play. The song is speaking directly to you, in a way that it would be wrong to jump out of the car before the last note has rung. The track ends, you turn the car off and jump out into the night. Everything is strangely perfect. Your allowing the song to finish and take you over, the perfect transition into whatever may be next.

These are those songs. The songs that make you stop what you’re doing and just listen; just be. The songs you turn up in your headphones to block out the noise of life. The songs that make you simply, close your eyes.

I hope you dig these jams as much as I do. Listen to ’em when it’s most quiet – or perhaps when it’s loudest and you need a peace to yourself.

If you’re feeling these, check out this cover of Heroes, and this track of Baum’s which is just so, perfect – yet she’s removed from her Spotify.

Love!
