Labour of Love

Love, in my opinion, is our greatest emotion. Love is inclusive, and it is caring; love helps, heals, inspires, and lifts you in a way quite unlike anything else. Love need not be confined to the romantic, either. Love is everywhere.

I am a believer in love; an advocate of love, and at times somewhat of a hopeless romantic. Love however, is not always easy. On the other side of love is hurt. Falling in love can come with trouble. There are fights, there are ups and downs; there is confusion and uncertainty. There are breaks, breakups, and heart break. Love hurts.

Love can feel, at times, like work. This playlist is an ode to labour of it all. Twenty songs about the “B-Sides” of love. The blood, sweat, and tears of chasing, catching, and keeping that wonderful, incredible, euphoric sensation. Sure, love can be a labour, but it is always worth it. To have loved and lost is better than to have never loved at all, right?
